What it does

Still Space puts a room, hall, plate, chamber or church around a voice, plus a stereo or ping-pong delay that can follow the song's tempo. Long tails stay smooth and never metallic.

Duck lowers the effect while the singer or speaker is loud, so the words stay clear and the tail blooms in the gaps. The dry voice is never delayed.

Key features

  • Five characters: Room, Hall, Plate, Chamber, Church
  • Delay: free time, synced (1/2 to 1/16, dotted, triplet) or Tap tempo
  • Duck: the effect tucks under the voice and returns in the gaps
  • Draggable display for Pre-delay, Decay and the first echo

Quick start

  1. Insert on the vocal, or on an aux return with Mix at 100%.
  2. Pick a character: Plate for lead vocals, Hall for worship, Church for choir.
  3. Set Decay, then Pre-delay 20–40 ms to keep the words in front.
  4. Add Duck 3–6 dB so the tail opens up between phrases.

GOOD TO KNOW

Tested: a 2.0 s hall measured 2.01 s, a 250 ms delay lands on the exact sample, and Duck 12 dB pulls the effect down 12.0 dB under a loud voice.
