What it does
Still De-Ess catches sibilance — s, sh, t — and turns it down only while it happens. Choose a gentle high shelf, a focused band, or classic wideband reduction.
Drag the gold threshold line on the display, and use Listen to hear exactly what it's catching.
Key features
- Three types: High shelf, Band, Wideband
- Frequency 2–12 kHz with Q
- Draggable threshold with a gold reduction readout
- Listen mode to hear the detected esses
- Auto: the threshold follows the voice level, so one setting works on a quiet or a hot mic
Quick start
- Press Listen and sweep Frequency until you hear mostly esses.
- Turn Listen off and drag the gold line down until only the esses light up the reduction.

GOOD TO KNOW
Use Range to stop it lisping the singer — 4–8 dB is usually enough. With Auto on, the same setting gave the same result with the mic 12 dB quieter or hotter.
